Arizona Muse

At the heart of this Scottish retreat is Arizona Muse, environmental activist and founder of the regenerative agriculture charity, DIRT. Arizona brings a unique blend of passion, purpose, and deep connection to the natural world, guiding guests through an experience that is both grounding and inspiring. Through DIRT, she advocates for the restoration of soil health and its vital role in addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and the environmental impact of industries like fashion and agriculture. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing the Earth begins with regenerating its soils, the very foundation of life. This retreat is a living expression of DIRT’s mission: to inspire deeper awareness of our relationship with the planet, and to cultivate reverence and responsibility for the land beneath our feet. Designed for a small, intimate group, the journey offers time to slow down, observe, and reconnect, not just with the natural world, but with ourselves. Arizona’s thoughtful leadership, shaped by years of exploration in sustainability, weaves together storytelling, ecological education, and moments of stillness. Together, these elements create space for transformation, where guests are invited to rediscover the beauty and wisdom of nature, and return home not only restored, but inspired to tread more gently on the Earth.

Boniface Verney-Carron

Meet, Boniface Verney-Carron. Since 2021, Boniface Verney-Carron has widened his healing practice to embrace the creation and co-hosting of health and wellness retreats - gatherings designed as sanctuaries for reconnection. Over 21 years of practice, he has been humbled by the wisdom that emerges when listening to the body’s story: the way symptoms speak not only of physical strain, but of emotional burdens, attachment wounds, and the quiet ache of disconnection. Again and again, he has witnessed what he calls a modern “comfort crisis” - a forgetting of our own resilience, a loss of embodiment, a drifting away from the inner compass that regulates us. Through his retreats, he invites people back into themselves: into movement, into breath, into the possibility of living with a felt sense of belonging to their own body and to the world around them.

An Invitation

"Come walk where wildness still whispers - where the body and the Earth remember each other."

This retreat is born from the coming together of Arizona and Boniface, two paths intertwining: hers rooted in the living soil, his anchored in the living body. Together they create a rare field of transformation - one that bridges ecology and psychology, regeneration and embodiment.

Arizona, an activist for the planet and advocate for soil regeneration, brings the wisdom of natural systems - teaching how care for the land mirrors care for the self. Her work opens a deep listening to nature’s intelligence, reminding us that we are part of the ecosystem, not separate from it.

Boniface, a body psychologist and holistic health leader, guides the journey inward. Through movement, breath, and somatic awareness, he helps participants release old patterns, awaken the nervous system, and reconnect with the aliveness within.

Together, they hold a space of symbiosis - Earth nourishing body, body honoring Earth. The outer landscape becomes a mirror for the inner one: what softens in the soil softens in the heart.

Their combined presence weaves the retreat into a living organism - where silence, movement, laughter, and stillness coexist. Participants leave grounded yet expanded, with renewed vitality, clarity, and belonging.

This is not just a retreat.

It is a return - to balance, to wholeness, to the rhythm of life itself.

We look forward to welcoming you, Boniface and Arizona

About your journey

This retreat is a meeting place between Earth and Body, between the pulse of the planet and the heartbeat within. Arizona mother, model, Earth advocate and founder of the soil regeneration charity DIRT - brings a grounded reverence for nature and a profound sense of joy to her work. She is also the co-founder of Soilonic, a pioneering cryptocurrency backed by living soil, uniting ecological regeneration with innovative finance. Having spent over a decade exploring the magic of the natural world through study, spiritual practice, and lived experience, Arizona teaches how to listen again to the intelligence of the land. Drawing on her international modelling career, entrepreneurial ventures and her gift for inspiring through public speaking, she invites participants to rediscover that healing the Earth and healing ourselves are one and the same act - walking lightly, laughing often, and remembering that regeneration, at its heart, is a celebration of life.

Boniface, body psychologist and holistic health leader - guides the inner journey. Through movement, breath, and group presence, he creates a field of trust where people can release what weighs them down, awaken what lies dormant, and reconnect with their embodied vitality. His practices — from de-shaming rituals to body activation, interception, breathwork and ecstatic dance - invite participants to inhabit their bodies as temples of aliveness and truth.

Join Dr. Guy Hayward on a pilgrimage walk to Rosslyn Chapel, where landscape, legend and song meet in sacred alignment. As founder of the British Pilgrimage Trust, Guy brings not only knowledge of ancient paths but a deep understanding of how walking with intention can open the heart and reweave our sense of belonging. This walk is a slow, soulful journey, part sacred movement, part collective inquiry and a powerful anchor in the wider rhythm of the retreat.

Creativity and connection to place are further deepened during an afternoon at Araminta’s Atelier, a quiet, meditative space where hands meet fibre and story. Guided by local weavers and their intuitive artistry, participants explore the history, techniques, and cultural significance of weaving, gaining insight into a centuries-old craft and its role in connecting community, tradition and place.

Together, the retreat will make you feel both elemental and intimate - a living ecosystem of people, breath, and landscape. Days begin with movement under Scottish skies, progress through mindful hikes in silence and conversation, and settle into evenings of firelight, music, and deep reflection. It is not simply a retreat, but a pilgrimage of reconnection: to self, to community, and to the living Earth. Participants leave feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply rooted - their nervous systems softened, their senses awakened, and their spirits aligned once more with the rhythm of life. This is what it feels like to be part of Journeys with Purpose: a return to what is real, what is shared and what is sacred.

The Somatic Activation Journeys

Each session guided by Boniface is a living exploration of movement, sensation, and consciousness - a dynamic unfolding where the body becomes both the path and the teacher. He weaves together a progression of body-based practices that awaken, regulate, and liberate.

Each moment invites participants to move from thinking into feeling, from form into flow:

● De-shaming rituals that honour vulnerability and invite radical authenticity. ● Body tapping and friction work to awaken circulation, ignite energy flow, and strengthen somatic awareness. ● Proprioception and coordination sequences that restore the body’s natural rhythm, balance, and grace. ● Primal movements and awakening flows that reconnect us to instinct, play, and the wisdom of our animal body. ● Short activating breath cycles to energise the nervous system and expand consciousness. ● Interoceptive awareness practices, cultivating sensitivity to the body’s internal

landscape — heartbeat, breath, temperature, and subtle sensation — deepening presence and self-regulation.

In Boniface’s presence, these practices unfold with precision, safety and compassion. He holds the container with grounded clarity, guiding participants to move beyond performance into pure embodiment.

Why Journeys with Purpose?

Journeys With Purpose engage guests with the world’s most ambitious and exciting conservation projects across our seven continents. We believe travel can be a powerful force for learning, for expanding horizons and shifting perspectives on the magic and wonder of our natural world. Our journeys invite you to step outside of your daily ecosystem and engage with new cultures, environments and people in the world's wildest corners. At this moment in history, we are placing unprecedented pressure on the planet and wildlife, communities and nature is under threat. True wilderness is increasingly rare, yet there are remarkable examples of nature rebounding, and flourishing. These conservation successes showcase the resilience of our natural world, and our journeys serve to spotlight, and support, these projects. Whether on a safari, diving trip or mountain expedition, by travelling with JWP you contribute to our mission: to conserve and restore 30 million acres of land and 30 million acres of seas by 2030. We are proud members of 1% for the Planet, through which we donate 1% of our annual revenue to grass-root initiatives. Journeys With Purpose is also a member of The Long Run, a Conde Nast Traveller specialist travel agency, and a Certified B Corp, awarded “Best for the World: Environment 2022”.
